Cold Air That Lasts — Not a Two-Week Recharge

When July hits 95 degrees in Clayton County, "the AC kind of works" stops being livable. Plenty of shops will sell you a refrigerant top-off and send you on your way — and three weeks later you're warm again, because the refrigerant escaped through the same leak. Our approach is different: pressure-test the system, trace the leak with UV dye and electronic detection, repair the failed component, then recharge to the exact factory specification.

The result is an AC system that blows cold in August traffic on I-75 — and keeps doing it next summer too.

Signs Your AC Needs Attention

  • Warm or mildly-cool air — usually low refrigerant from a leak.
  • AC works at highway speed but not at idle — often a weak compressor or condenser airflow issue.
  • Clicking or grinding when the AC engages — compressor clutch or bearing trouble.
  • Musty smell from the vents — evaporator mildew or an overdue cabin filter.
  • Water on the passenger floorboard — a clogged evaporator drain.

While You're Here

Many drivers pair AC service with an oil change to knock out maintenance in one trip. If a dashboard warning came on alongside your AC trouble, our diagnostics service can trace it. We keep cars cool for drivers in Morrow, Forest Park, and across Clayton County.

Auto AC Repair FAQs

Why is my car AC blowing warm air?

The most common cause is low refrigerant from a leak, but warm air can also come from a failing compressor, a bad blend door actuator, a clogged condenser, or an electrical fault. We test the whole system so you get the real answer — a recharge alone won’t fix a leak.

How much does car AC repair cost?

It ranges widely: a simple recharge with dye is on the affordable end, while a compressor or condenser replacement costs more. We diagnose first and give you a written estimate before any repair, so you can decide with real numbers in hand.

Is it worth recharging AC without fixing the leak?

Usually not. Refrigerant doesn’t get "used up" — if it’s low, it leaked out, and it will leak out again. We add UV dye during service to pinpoint leaks, then fix the source so your cold air lasts more than a few weeks.

Why does my AC smell musty when I turn it on?

That smell usually comes from mildew on the evaporator or a dirty cabin air filter. A cabin filter replacement and evaporator treatment typically clears it up — a quick, inexpensive fix we can do during any visit.

Do you service both R-134a and R-1234yf systems?

Yes. We service the R-134a systems in most vehicles on the road as well as the newer R-1234yf refrigerant used in many late-model cars, with the proper equipment for each.
